The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I graduated from Penn State in 1963 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1967. I did my residency and fellowship training in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I then moved to Tampa Florida in 1972 to become one of the founding faculty members of the Medical School at the University of South Florida. I am now a Professor of Pediatrics and direct a clinical and basic research program that focuses on type 1 diabetes mellitus in children. My wife and I have 4 children (3 sons and a daughter). My first son considered coming to Penn State but after making a recruiting trip to campus in December indicated that it was too cold there and went to Wake Forest to play soccer and become educated. My other children graduated from Florida and Florida State Universities. My sons and I returned to the Penn State Campus for a football game in the fall of 2008 and had a great weekend thanks to the efforts of John Black our great alumni association director.
